UNLOCK THE POWER OF LITERACY AT HOME

A Must-Read For Every Parent

"Succinctly and clearly made the case for all kids becoming readers. I love how it defines and breaks down the process of reading. It's a great resource for parents - especially now since many are now finding themselves more directly involved with the process. I think the book is excellent."
Carol Convey
First Grade Teacher
"The book is empowering for parents and teaches them to empower their children. I love the emphasis on learning to read as a normal, expected part of development just like the other aspects of language acquisition. I especially love the emphasis on experimentation, exploration, celebration, and patience with the process."
Dana McComb
Parent of School Age Children
"This book helps alleviate the pressure and anxiety parents often feel around the process of teaching children to read. Dr. Schroeder clearly and gently challenges long-held ideas about how children learn to read, empowering parents to come into the journey in simple but proactive ways."
Shanna Wenninger
Homeschooling Mom
"Children Becoming Readers is perhaps the most important and enjoyable event to witness as a parent. As a homeschooling mom of six very different kids, I can sympathize with Dr. Schroeder's passion for promoting this priceless skill. Flip through these pages to find out how to give this gift to your children."
